Almost each parent comes across the problem of his children’s desire to learn to drive a car. They say that teenagers get in trouble while driving several times oftener than grown-ups. But it isn’t the best way to protect your child by not letting him to drive. You will truly help if you will read and follow the advices concerning the subject:
1. Give him an example how to drive safely. Let him to sit near by you and to watch your all acts and movements. Observe all the traffic rules, explain them. Show by your own example that he or she should esteem other drivers and people crossing the road. And of course don’t speak over the phone while driving.
2. Take him to a good driving school. Because even being a well-experienced driver still you are not able to teach him those things which a professional can. In such a school your child will not only receive proper knowledge but also will try simulated driving. And this will be of a great experience for him or her. One more advantage of such a course is that your kid will have an examination which will show if he is ready to drive alone. To be sure of your child’s ability to act by his own bring him into course of defensive driving. There he will be taught how to behave in different weather conditions and how to avoid accidental situation.
3. Prohibit him to drive in night time or after parties. Because in a drunk state the smallest that can happen to him is an arrest because of being drunk. Try to control the situation by giving him a lift after party by yourself.
4. Make him to drive as much as it is possible but choose an appropriate place for this where the traffic is not too heavy. Remember that without practice your child will not be able to drive.
5. Force your kid always to fasten a seat belt. It may save him in an accident.
